Just a thought:
Our government was very quick to respond in order to protect us when Janet’s nipple was exposed, enacting all sorts of indecency legislature. How quick will they be to respond in like to the the recent events at Virginia Tech? What is it going to take to convince people that we need better gun control? People just don’t need semi-automatics – deer are not that scary. Personally, I don’t think anyone needs a gun, but I’m an idealist and a pacifist, so what do I know?
What’s truly scary to me is that there are people that think that the government is doing the right thing by protecting us from nudity, swearing, etc. and not doing something the violence. Although that’s evident in the movie ratings too, where Kevin Bacon’s butt merits an “R” rating and violence and guns doesn’t. What a fucked up way to think.
