Just got back from Houston last night. It took us 12 hours – 12 hours on the road with two dogs (one medium, one large) in a small Honda Civic Hatchback. But it was worth it, we had a nice time there. Although the weather freaked me out a little. It was warm – the pools were open, the christmas lights were swaying in the palm trees. It was supposed to get to 84 degrees yesterday. Crazy, it was a nice change, but a little hard to get used to. We ate way too much, hung out, and relxed.
Christmas Eve dinner at Rudi Lechner’s for a German Feast, as is the tradition in the Cluthe household, was great.
We also saw an excellent collection of the work of Jean-Michel Basquiat at the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston. An amazing artist who died way too young.
I hope all your holidays are going well! Have a safe and happy New Year! See ya’ll (Texas rubbed off on me) next year!
